More problems per link below. In addition, I belive my view in the writeup regarding timing of a return to (near) full production is shifting further into the future even if approval did come in... login to read the rest
I just pulled the following from the 10-K and this is what I remember (see bolded language below) - they were given exclusivity to produce the aerostructures on the Boeing lines in production at the... login to read the rest
Yeah but the old "safety risk" is so huge... Things are not fine with this plane. The problem won't go away by firing people. Non zero odds that the plane will have to be redesigned.
SPR has contracts on all the Boeing commercial planes. I don't know the exact specifics of the exclusivity rights. BA might want to renegotiate pricing, but I doubt they would want to go test out... login to read the rest
If the Max needs to be re-platformed b/c it was a flawed design to begin with (which I'm hearing more and more), does SPR still have the same contractual right to produce on that platform... login to read the rest
These Boeing internal communications are truly appalling. It has been known they existed, but now the content is out. I think this was one (of many) reasons the BA board acted to get rid of... login to read the rest

Instead of regretting the design process, this is what Boeing had to say ...
"We regret the content of these communications, and apologize to the [Federal Aviation Administration], Congress, our airline customers, and to the flying

I must quality that - "conversation with ex IDF-pilots.
It is possible that an updated MCAS+better pilot training will lower the probability of accidents sufficiently enough to be a viable aircraft. In fact, I am hoping... login to read the rest

Conversations with pilots. MCAS was installed on the 737 MAX because the design of the frame is unstable. Boeing has done a masterful job of blaming everything but the frame - from poor training of... login to read the rest
Downside in a worst case scenario is significant given MAX is over 50% of revenue and arguably some of their higher margin revenue. I need to do an analysis of what is left if MAX

in all seriousness, what is your qualification and basis for such a claim? Engineering experience? Aviation experience? In-depth knowledge of Boeing from personal experience? Not questioning your statement, but I'm kinda curious how you would come... login to read the rest
the 737 max should probably never be allowed to fly again
but it most likely will be allowed to fly. There is far too much money riding on it. The MCAS is a hack for a serious design problem with the plane. There was a video... login to read the rest
