Looked pretty decent. If volumes rise through next year and prices stay healthy -- even if not at current levels -- results should be quite positive it seems.
Production problems have definitely been weighing the company down as they are not too sensitive to the price of copper due to their royalty arrangements. But they are sensitive to declining volumes.

if use current copper and molybdenum prices, what FCF/share in $Cdn dollars do you see for 2005, 2006, and 2007?
What is the FCF sensitivity per $0.10 change in copper and $10 change in molybdenum?

They are in the final stages of commissioning right now. It is taking a little longer than previsouly expecteg. However, I only had modeled 500,000 production ramping to 1 million next year and if they
Very interesting report. I would cite a couple of things, first I have my estimates of Moly at $20, which may end up being to high, but I also have my copper estimates at $1.15... login to read the rest
With copper at highs not seen since 1989, ARG is really quite attractive here. Remember that the forecasts in my report, assume $1.25 copper this year and $1.20 next.
With increasing highs in copper, ARG keeps
MVC processes 100% of all the tailings from El Teniente.
The opportunity longer term is for Amerigo to set up shop at other mines like they currently do for El Teniente.
Just for info, I took this from a Goldman Sachs report, the table below shows what 40 clients (divided equally) of Ryan expect for molly prices, this happened in a round-table event sponsored by... login to read the rest
Oops, looking at the Technical Review it sounds like MVC is processing all the tailings from El Teniente-- could you confirm? The other questions still hold...
Thanks!

Thanks for the very interesting story. I'm trying to get my arms around the "lay of the land" here - a few quick questions - it looks like MVC is only getting a fraction... login to read the rest
Price target with Moly at $5, would be C$2.50, which is where the stock would be. I would remind you though that the price of Moly would have to fall 83% to get to that... login to read the rest
Quick question for issambres839 on Moly Prices. What is your price target assuming $5 Moly Prices. It seems as if $5/pound is the long-term average and Amerigo evaluated their Moly extraction plant using... login to read the rest
While no single reason can be pointed to, to explain the last two days rise, here are a couple of reasons IMHO:
1) Stock broke out yesterday after struggling to get to C$2.45 for a year
2)ARG... login to read the rest
Amerigo announced earnings today for 2004.
Highlights:
1) EPS was $0.17 a share, cash from ops for the year was $14 million.
2) Costs were too high due to higher steel prices, lower than expected grade of copper... login to read the rest
Unfortunately, Moly doesn't trade like copper or trade on any futures exchange.
Platts and Metals Bulletin is one publication that puts out a weekly price (like UxC for the spot price of Uranium). Its not really
That's a great question. I think copper prices are due for a pullback. I think demand is such that any pullback should be minor. Anything around $1.15 to $1.20 copper, Amerigo does just fine. Even... login to read the rest
Moly prices break even at around $2-3/lb. So at $4, they would basically breakeven after royalties. Moly represents the upside here. I think if you nlook at how little supply there is for Moly and... login to read the rest
Interesting idea. A few questions:
1) You are estimating Moly prices at $25 but in looking at a 30 year chart, prices have been below $5 95% of the time. There have been 2... login to read the rest
Hibernia Gold in Australia is the only company I could find that was actively trying to build a new Moly mine. This mine won't be producing until 2007 at the earliest though.
Moly production will increase... login to read the rest
Interesting story and thanks for posting it. I am curious about the only one public company that has a moly mine. Could you please inform me ?
